The e-book revolution is in prime infancy and lines are being drawn across the globe. Online powerhouse Amazon forged new alliances with the Kindle an e-book in my opinion not the best reader on the market. Like it or not, these e-readers will save many trees and make it hard for Ikea to sell you bookshelves. With these readers you can pack thousands of books into them and bring anywhere you want. The only thing holding them back is color images, once that is conquered, these devices will close many magazine stands and book stores. So what is a book store like Borders Books in the UK supposed to do? You create your own e-book and join the war of consumerism of intellectual real estate for the mind. The world made it’s acquaintance to their new e-reader called, Elonex E-book. Kindle and Elonex as names for e-readers are rather lame. Who comes up with these names?
I am really looking forward to this technology, but will wait on the fence with this one. Once they are able to load color and images I will join the ranks of e-readers.
“Elonex sees the future of homes, schools and businesses involving eBooks as a way of distributing information, with the ultimate goal of a paperless society which will significantly decrease the nation’s carbon footprint.”
