Eric Clapton Announces New Album “Meanwhile”

Many younger listeners today may not be as familiar with the iconic Eric Clapton, but the legendary guitarist continues to make waves in the music world. Clapton has just announced his upcoming studio album, Meanwhile, set to be released digitally on October 4th via Bushbranch/Surfdog Records. Fans of physical formats won’t have to wait too long, as the album will also be available on vinyl and CD starting January 24, 2025.

In conjunction with this announcement, Clapton has dropped a brand-new track, “One Woman,” available to stream today.

Meanwhile, is packed with exciting collaborations, featuring contributions from musical legends like Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago, and Simon Climie. The album includes six brand-new songs and eight previously released singles, offering a mix of fresh material and fan favorites.

Eric Clapton holds the unique distinction of being the only artist ever inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three separate times. His first induction came in 1992 as a member of the pioneering British rock band, The Yardbirds. A year later, in 1993, he was honored again for his role in the groundbreaking supergroup Cream. Finally, in 2000, Clapton was inducted as a solo artist, solidifying his legendary status in the world of music. These three honors reflect his immense influence across multiple decades and musical genres.
