Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is boldly going where only Muppets have dared tread. In a gloriously bizarre twist, Season 4 will feature an episode where the entire crew gets Muppetized, courtesy of the legendary Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Yes, you heard that right — Captain Pike, Spock, and the gang are about to sprout felt and googly eyes.
“Pigs in Space” would be proud.
Just when you thought they’d be running out of warp juice, Strange New Worlds cranks it to ludicrous speed. We’ve already survived Klingon zombies in Episode 3, and previous seasons gave us a full-blown musical episode, an animated crossover, a true-crime-style murder mystery, and even a documentary (beaming into Season 3). It’s like the writers spun a genre roulette wheel and said, “Yep, let’s do them all!”
And now? Welcome to the Puppet-verse. Expect heartfelt monologues… delivered by foam rubber.
Strange New Worlds is proving once and for all that Star Trek isn’t just about exploring strange new worlds — it’s about pushing the boundaries of TV itself. So grab your tribble, buckle your seatbelt, and prepare for warp speed whimsy.
The show will return for its fifth and final season on Paramount+, presumably with more surprises and maybe even a guest appearance from Statler and Waldorf in the peanut gallery of the bridge.
Could there be an appearance of Dr. Julius Strangepork himself? Because if Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is diving headfirst into the puppet-verse, then we demand a cameo from the galaxy’s most porcine rocket scientist. Imagine him consulting with Spock on warp anomalies or challenging Dr. M’Benga to a duel of medical ethics… over bacon.
If there isn’t at least one pig in space saying “Pigs in Space!” in a dramatic echo, is it even really sci-fi?
