There’s nothing slow about Slow Horses—this show is running full gallop! Season 5 is charging out of the gate this September, Season 6 is already saddled up, and now, hot on their heels, Season 7 has been announced and is rounding the bend. This spy thriller isn’t just pacing—it’s leading the pack!
I’m hooked on Slow Horses—hands down one of the best shows out there right now. And let’s be real: Sir Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb? This is the role of his career. It’s meaty, messy, and magnificently unfiltered. He’s crude, cynical, and completely unapologetic—a chain-smoking, flatulent antihero you can’t help but root for. Honestly, you’ll find yourself cheering for this grumpy bastard, because when things go south, he’s exactly the guy you want in your corner.
And guess what? Today, Apple TV+ officially announced Season 7—a brand new six-episode chapter in the brilliantly gritty, darkly funny world of Slow Horses. This Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning spy drama just keeps delivering, with Sir Gary Oldman racking up Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Emmy nods for his unforgettable portrayal of Lamb.

The show, based on Mick Herron’s phenomenal Slough House novels, continues to pull no punches. Season 7 is adapted from Bad Actors, and this time, the Slow Horses are hunting down a mole buried deep within the British government—one that threatens to take the whole system down.
With the first four seasons already streaming, and Season 5 dropping on September 24, 2025, fans are eating well. Season 6 was announced last year, and now this bombshell Season 7 news? Incredible.
Honestly, this is the only reason I still keep my Apple TV+ subscription active. The writing, the performances, the tension—it’s all gold. My only gripe? The seasons are way too short. I could binge 20 episodes of this in one sitting and still beg for more.
Long live Jackson Lamb—and long live Slow Horses!
