Reusable water bottles are available in a wide variety of designs and sizes, making them popular promotional items for corporate branding. Many companies choose to print their logos on these reusable bottles and distribute them to employees, both as a practical gift and a subtle way to promote sustainability by reducing single-use plastic waste. Over time, I’ve accumulated a considerable collection of these branded bottles—much to my dismay.
One notable brand in this space, S’well, known for its stylish and eco-friendly water bottles, has recently partnered with Crayola for the first time. Together, they’ve introduced a vibrant and creative collection that brings a splash of color to fashionable hydration, blending S’well’s sleek design with Crayola’s iconic, playful aesthetic.

“This partnership with S’well adds colorful fun to back-to-school accessories while inspiring kids to express themselves creatively,” says April Heeren, senior director, of Americas outbound licensing, Crayola. “The Crayola x S’well collection’s crayon-inspired bottle designs and recognizable colors add a touch of joyful whimsy and nostalgia to consumers of all ages.”
The limited-edition Crayola x S’well collection is a playful and sustainable way for parents, teachers, children and anyone young at heart to stay hydrated. The collection features seven 17-oz Original Bottles in nostalgic crayon-inspired designs, including blue, green, yellow and red, and three 16-oz Travelers with multi-color patterns. Each bottle incorporates Therma-S’well Technology to keep drinks colder or hotter for longer. They are eco-friendly, reusable and BPA/BPS-free.

“We are thrilled to partner with Crayola, a brand that has been sparking creativity and inspiring imagination for generations,” says John Roscoe Swartz, divisional president, of Lifetime Brands, S’well’s parent company. “The Crayola x S’well collaboration felt like a natural fit to combine Swell’s signature style and design with Crayola’s iconic shapes and colors for a collection that is imaginative and one of a kind.”
The Crayola x S’well collection is exclusive to the U.S. on Swell.com.
Fun Fact: The Crayola name was invented by Alice Binney, Edwin Binney’s wife, who blended the French word for chalk, “craie,” with the “ola” from “oleaginous,” reflecting the waxy quality of the crayons. This inventive combination not only gave the brand a unique name but also hinted at the product’s composition and its intended smoothness and ease of use.
