4chan Anonymity at a Price

4chan is the anti-social network portal. The enfant terrible where it’s a free for all with the worst of humanity secured by anonymity. When a person is given carte blanche with no retaliation from society, just how far will they go? 4chan is not for minors and easily offends many. It’s an interesting study of the human condition out there. Within this cesspool there is the feeling that in social networking sites we are sharing too much information about ourselves and perhaps anonymity is something we should have also. 4chan is not a money making site due to content and perhaps will never be, but it is drawing attention for all the wrong reasons. There is a price for anonymity if you go against the grain of society as a whole. You can hide but the intricacy of the web will expose you sooner or later.

4chan4chan is a simple image-based bulletin board where anyone can post comments and share images. There are boards dedicated to a variety of topics, from Japanese animation and culture to videogames, music, and photography. Users do not need to register an account before participating in the community.
