Computer Daily Routine on the Rise

There was a time when everybody had a TV for each individual in the house. Many families now are bringing the laptop to the dinner table. Are you fighting over the laptop each morning? Even before you have breakfast, the laptop is powered up and ready for your daily routine, Facebook,email,viral video, surf and munch. The laptop has replaced the newspaper, now you have the world at your disposal. In the immortal words of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the world is becoming your oyster. You can harvest every morning a wealth of information as the world pools like elves new information to keep you glued to your laptops. Between phones and laptops the information age is full throttle and the mornings are picking up steam. Traffic for major sites are increasing as early as 6:00 AM. People want information even faster. By the time you get in your car, the radio news is already old. You can easily access information while your coffee is boiling and your toasts crisping up for jam. Mom is on TMZ, the kids on Facebook playing apps, and dad on ESPN. Everybody then gets on Facebook exchanging today’s topics and then off to school or work. Tapping away they all go merrily on their portable phones in cars and buses. This faster information will increase even more and be even more portable. From books, magazines, movies, and music all will be ready in one place for everybody to live in their personal space without really interacting to each other. The world will be something like living in a collective cube of Matrix isolation . People have become less communicative but yet interaction has increased in a non-reality level. Eye contact is becoming more rare.

Akamai, which helps sites like Facebook and Amazon keep up with visitor demand, says traffic takes off even earlier, at around 6 a.m. on the East Coast. Verizon Wireless reported the number of text messages sent between 7 and 10 a.m. jumped by 50 percent in July, compared with a year earlier.
