Jay-Z Hates Auto-Tune

Bad publicity or any form of it many will say is good publicity. Marco Alpert, vice president of marketing at Antares Audio Technologies for Auto-Tune is enthralled with Jay-Z’s hatred for his company. “We couldn’t buy P.R. like this.” Auto-Tune is a software used for voice correction with effects that can sound robotic in nature as popularized by Cher for her hit “Believe” in 1998.  Jay-Z is disenchanted with the constant use of the software in the music industry.  So he decided to write a song against the product and a video clearly taking a shot at Auto-Tune. For those not able to carry a tune, Auto-Tune is heaven sent.  This is one software that Bob Dylan would never put his vocals through. The swipe against the product has only helped sales, despite Jay-Z’s best efforts to dispel Auto-Tune. I am sure Marco Alpert sent Jay-Z the latest version of Auto-Tune.
