Brett Goldstein Scores Big in Apple’s All of You

All of You

Well, color me surprised and butter my biscuits. Just when I was about to cancel Apple+, they went and pulled a total Ted Lasso on me. You know, when you’re ready to throw in the towel and then life kicks you in the shin… but in a good way. Out of nowhere, they drop something worth watching.

And folks, let me tell ya, I was happier than Dani Rojas at a puppy adoption fair when I saw Brett Goldstein’s name attached. Now here’s the kicker: the man actually smiles in this film. I mean, smiles! Watching Roy Kent’s mouth curve upward was more unsettling than seeing Coach Beard take a vow of silence. It just feels unnatural, like pineapple on barbecue. I half-expected the screen to glitch, like Apple TV+ couldn’t handle rendering such sorcery.

“Alright, hands in, everybody—1, 2, 3, love is life!”

The movie is called “All of You.” Apple Original Films just released the trailer, starring Emmy-winner Brett Goldstein, Imogen Poots, Steven Cree, Zawe Ashton, and Jenna Coleman. The plot? Classic rom-com with a little Ted Lasso locker room pep talk baked in: Simon Goldstein and Laura Poots have been best friends since college. Everyone can see they’re clearly head-over-cleats for each other—except them. Then Laura takes one of those soulmate tests (think of it as a BuzzFeed quiz written by destiny itself), and poof—she ends up with someone else. Over the years, their paths keep crossing like soccer players chasing the wrong ball, and deep down, they know they’ve missed something real.

So the big question: do they risk everything for the love that’s been lurking in plain sight all along? Or do they play it safe and settle for what life handed them? (To quote Ted: “Taking a risk is kinda like making tea—if you don’t dunk the bag, you’re just staring at hot water.”)

And here’s the real kicker—Brett didn’t just star in this. Nope, the man co-wrote it with William Bridges (the Emmy-winning wizard behind Black Mirror), who’s also directing for the very first time. Produced by MRC, the film premieres worldwide on Apple TV+ on September 26, 2025.

So, Apple+, you win this round. I’m keeping my subscription. And Brett Goldstein? You keep smiling, buddy. Just… maybe not directly at me. It’s scarier than facing Roy Kent on penalty day.
