This is an idea that is literally out of this world. Captain Raptor and the Moon Mystery is a blast with the concept of dinosaurs in space. With every mishmash and cliche thrown the way of dinosaur space suited adventures. Captain Raptor is a throw back to the old sci-fi pulps. The watercolor and gouache artwork will leap at you and leave you breathless if you are a boy. What boy would not clamour to the prospect of space travel and dinosaurs? Patrick O’Brien, the illustrator of this potpourri of line and color is no stranger to kids’ book illustration, this is the first time that Patrick takes us into a new realm and give us a new spin in the dinosaur folklore. This book has the making of sequels and I would not be surprised if it will be picked up for either a TV show or movie. Preview>>
