Ardent fan of the Mad Men TV show Dyna Moe will have her first book out this fall. Mad Men: The Illustrated World contains original text and illustrations on the 60’s culture that the show is based on. What started as a commissioned design from Rich Sommer for a custom Christmas card for the cast and crew of the show became a job as AMC and the cast fell in love with her work. Dyna was hired to design madmenyourself.com by season three. She was heavily influenced by illustrators Aurelius Battaglia, Alice & Martin Provensen, Art Seiden and J. P. Miller who all worked during the golden age of advertising. The 96 page book will be the first “official” Mad Men publication. A fine addition for any collection of fans of the show and illustrators. You can get a preview of most Dyna’s illustrations on Flickr.
