Seems Charles M. Schulz had an allergic reaction to the name Peanuts when his publisher stuck that name to his strip. Still in it’s infancy Charles felt that there was still time to change the name of the comic strip from Peanuts to Good O’ Charlie Brown. Sparky was wrong and the rest is history.
