Hey, kids! Bob Kane, the creator of Batman, has just stepped into a whole new lane with a brand-new song called “Have Faith in Me,” recorded by Hank Leids and the Bat-Group Courage.
It’s one of those unexpected turns that makes you do a double-take. The man behind Gotham’s Dark Knight suddenly drifted into the world of pop music, riding right alongside the wild 1960s wave of Bat-mania. And that’s really what this is at its core. A moment when Batman wasn’t just a comic or a TV show, but a full-blown cultural explosion.
“Have Faith in Me” wasn’t just a creative side quest. It was part of the larger merchandising machine spinning around the 1966 Batman television series. Paired at times with “The Story of Batman” on a 45 RPM record, it was built to ride the popularity of the show straight into record stores.
Recorded by Hank Leids and sometimes branded under the punchy name Bat-Group Courage, the whole thing feels like a snapshot of an era when studios and creators were leaning hard into anything that could keep the Bat signal glowing just a little brighter in pop culture.
