The casserole movement is a hit in Quebec in many ways. Discontent is at an all-time high as residents not happy with Bill 78 take to the streets and bang pots and pans. Artist Matt Forsythe pays tribute to the casseroles.
“Bill 78 overrides the provisions in the Canadian Constitution that protect the fundamental rights of freedom of expression, assembly, dissent and protest. This is the reason for such a massive protest. Unfortunately, the Canadian Parliamentarians, the “Guardians of the fundamental rights of Canadians everywhere in Canada,” are nowhere to be found.”
