Cover songs come in all shapes and sizes. Many of them not so good, others much better than the original. Bob Dylan would be a perfect example. From Jimi Hendrix to the Byrds, they all covered his songs and made them better. Here is a recent example of John Velghe covering โI Wanna Be Your Dogโ originally recorded by Iggy Pop and The Stooges. Cover Me is a cornucopia of cover songs and back-history of rock and roll roots.
