Chinese dog owners are dyeing their dogs in different colors to make them look like tigers or pandas. Depending on the species, dogs in China are getting a second look. This bizarre trend is taking off like gangbusters at the cost of the dignity of the dog. See more>>

Once banned by the Communist Party as bourgeois, pet ownership is currently booming in China (pet spending increased by 500 percent from 1999 to 2008), spawning a slew of pampering businesses where pets are treated to pedicures, rose petal bubble baths, even massages.
