There was a time when geeks got most of their information from Starlog. Most of the issues of Starlog are now available online for free via the Internet Archive. Starlog no longer holds the prestige it did once as the source of information for geekdom since they went out of print in 2009. It is fun to glance through the old issues online and not have to clutter the basement. Starlog still lingers as an online portal of sci-fi geek curiosity. The very technology writers praised in their magazine eventually did the magazine in.
