The Oatmeal’s Matthew Inman started another indiegogo campaign called, “Let’s Build a Goddamn Tesla Museum.” Matthew and indiegogo collected 1.85 million dollars. Matthew believes that Nickola Tesla was the greatest geek that ever lived.

It’s not something that can be simply attributed to virality or humor — it’s a clear sign of networks of people around the world being brought together to act quickly on an idea, project, or cause that they care about.
