I would like to see any dad with a straight face call his son “Beaver.” Here is a scene from a later episode of “Leave it to Beaver” where Beaver lost his cuteness. He and his friends buy sweaters illustrated by that rat fink Ed Roth in the “Sweatshirt Monsters” episode.
