I love these two prints from Phantom City Creative to celebrate the world release of Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max and select theaters on March 31. Finally, the greatest clash of titans is upon us. I am really hyped for this movie. The tiki mugs are out of this world. You can buy the posters and mugs from Mondo. So who will you be rooting for? Godzilla or Kong? I don’t know about you but I will be munching my popcorn with my new spanking tiki mug topped up with Coke Zero. (Got to watch those calories.)
The film is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod and Brian Rogers, with Kenji Okuhira, Yoshimitsu Banno, Jon Jashni and Thomas Tull serving as executive producers. Jay Ashenfelter, Jen Conroy and Tamara Kent are co-producers.
“When I got this project, I instantly knew how I wanted this awesome version of Godzilla interpreted in tiki form!” Arce said in a statement. “The scales and textures lend themselves perfectly to a tiki aesthetic.”
“This was an incredibly fun one for me to work on and it was a challenge coming up with a nice companion to the amazingly textured Godzilla that Hector designed,” Bonanno said in a statement. “I’m a monkey on the Chinese zodiac calendar and also…I’m called Mikey Bananas all the time, so of course, I gotta lean towards Team Kong.”
