Monopoly Electronic Banking Edition

Monopoly Electronic Banking Edition

In 1935 when North America was in the throws of a recession, the world was introduced to Monopoly. As banks were repossessing houses and depleted of their own cash reservoirs. The game turned paupers into bankers and real estate tycoons with fake money. Now in the year 2007 when recession is tethering in some minds with credit card debt accumulated by many. What a better way to turn your kids into credit card junkies , by getting rid of the fake paper money and introducing a “Visa” debit card machine that magically tallies up all your monopoly acquisitions as you merrily throttle on the board of make-believe riches. As kids keep playing, as I noticed my own kids, they are being trained to use a credit card like there is no tomorrow, and with a blatant “Visa” logo, we know where this game is going. The game of life. Debt and more debt, plastic money to the rescue and your troubles are gone. Something just reeks about the concept of this game. Buyer beware.
