Falling off a bike can be dangerous at times, especially if you scrap your knees on rocks. My daughter had the unfortunate experience of scrapping her knee. A few days later she had some heavy raked scabs. Inquisitive as she is, she researched picking scabs online. We shared our findings together. It’s amazing what one learns online.
“Picking scabs is a remarkably self-perpetuating way to act out obsessive-compulsive tendencies that often signal an underlying, often as-yet-undiagnosed mood or anxiety disorder. Patients often describe the experience as comforting even though painful. And very unsightly.
A common symptom of scab picking is eating the scabs after picking.”
Yes, picking scabs is a sweet guilty release — like twisting your tongue into your loose baby teeth, popping big zits in the center of your cheeks, or dropping hot farts underneath the sheets.-The Book of Awesome: Snow Days, Bakery Air, Finding Money in Your Pocket, and Other Simple, Brilliant Things
