Gimmicky soda maker Jones Soda Co. has a new flavor called Poutine Soda. The sixty year old french fry dish is very popular in Quebec and has grown into other markets in North America. It has gone as far as California. I think I will need a gizzard to swallow this stuff. What is the sugar content on this sucker? Jones claims that it is — “poutine without the guilt — 0 calories, 0 carbs, all the flavour.”
The Poutine flavour will be available in select regions across Canada and most notably in Quebec (where Poutine was invented in the 1950s), as well as Ontario and Vancouver:
- In Quebec, Jones has partnered with Frite Alors, a well-known Quebecois chain that focuses on poutine offerings, to offer combination deals for Poutine Soda along with regular Jones Soda.
- Our Canadian Facebook fans will receive updates via the official Jones Soda Facebook fan page as to where they can find the limited edition Poutine flavour.
- Jones Soda will be sampling at various college campuses, and students will be able to compete in challenges to sample this unique, limited edition flavour.
- We have also partnered with Quebec-based Poutine Week to engage their poutine enthusiast fan base.
