Ronnie Wood the Vampire

Cross promotions come in many shapes and sizes. To celebrate the launch of True Blood for British channel FX, you had to look for some bad blood. Artist Paul Karslake was commissioned to introduce you to the world’s newest vampire, Ronnie Wood. Yes the same Rolling Stones guitar player who in the mind of Paul Karslake is a sexual vampire. Paul happens to be the brother of Ronnie’s estranged wife Jo who was unceremoniously dumped for a 20-year-old Russian blond. As the world knows Ronnie was also dumped by the pious Rolling Stones who thought Ronnie should clean up his act. Paul claims he used his own blood to get a realistic look in his painting. If you want to get your hands on this painting you can buy it on eBay. I think Keith Richards is the real vampire, it’s a short of a miracle the man is still alive.

“I sat down to watch (True Blood) and one of the characters, Vampire Bill, straight away reminded me of Ronnie.
“Once that happened I couldn’t get the image out of my head. I’ve been really upset over the events of the past few months and my brush just did the talking.”
