Born of Hope: Lord of The Rings Fan Film
Born of Hope is the unofficial prequel about Aragon’s parents from Lord of the Rings fame. It’s amazing with a shoestring budget of £25,000 making a legit movie at a cost of a tenth of one percent of Peter Jackson’s epic. The movie was put together in four years by fans at no cost and shot in Essex and directed by Kate Madison who forked over her own money to make this movie. The film is very clear that it is not for profit in fear of being sued by copyright holders and with a minuscule budget don’t expect Hollywood-style acting or production but they come pretty close. True fans of any genre can go to great lengths to recreate their passions and Born of Hope speaks volumes to the dedication the group went to create their passion.
