The Doors are trying to reach new audiences that will continue to the fuel the various factions of The Doors’ estate.  Behold, The Doors App.   Everything you aver wanted to know about The Doors with a single tap and swipe at your finger tips.  Being a Doors connoisseur I feel a bit cheated here.  Since they are my favorite band, I will give them a pass.  This is for newbies.  Serious fans will not enjoy this experience.

THE DOORS official App brings The Doors’ story to life with a rich, immersive experience that digs deeply into every aspect of The Doors’ incandescent career. From their beginnings, to today, The Doors’ music burns with an intensity fueled by their distinctive approach to poetic lyrics, bold instrumentation and mesmerizing performance.

Conceived by Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman, who signed the Doors to the label in 1965, the app was developed with the participation of band members John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, and the estate of the estate of Jim Morrison. Described as “an unprecedented immersive experience,” it features interactive content, unpublished photos and artwork, rare videos, music and more.
