Toronto is Waffle Nation

Shame on you Toronto! You are now Waffle Nation to the rest of hockey towns across North America. The Detroit Red Wings throw octopi and the Florida Panthers throw rubber rats in praise of their players. Toronto fans threw a few waffles to display their displeasure. As fans dish out big money to see lackluster professional sports teams, a little criticism could be accepted at times. Not the Leafs they banished the latest wafflemeister who followed in the footsteps of the original dissatisfied fan. Joe Robb was charged with mischief and banished from most sporting events in Toronto. Not to worry Mr. Robb got himself a local lawyer who also is not happy with the latest on ice paltry performance by the Maple Leafs. Will the lonely waffle break heads at management level? Seems they are not listening to the fans. What do they know, the fans pay the bills. Plenty of waffling going about. This is one story that will not go away.

“I don’t know why waffles, or why I even did it, but a fan had done it the week before. I think it’s just built up frustration,” Mr. Robb says. “I thought, ‘Hey, if the same crap happens at this game, you know, we should keep the tradition going.”
