Getting married in Greece is a tad different as illustrated by this couple who sent out their invitations for their big day. How can you say no to them. Tying the knot can get elaborate. Everybody wants an edge over the previous couple. Upping the ante, it can be an expensive proposition. This has to be the most original invite for a wedding and hopefully not foreboding. Congratulations to the couple.
“We are going to tie the knot. In the Greek language, there is an expression that uses the word “hang” in order to say “marry”. So, traditionally, when the father of the bride says “I will hang them”, he means that he will tie the couple with the holly bond of marriage.”
