I hate shopping at Ikea, it’s like a giant catalog warehouse. You have to go through the store like a rodent in a maze. I expect to meet with the Minotaur at any corner when I shop there. It’s so frustrating at times. It turns out that the giant corporate company is actually registered as a non-profit company and only pays 3.5% tax on annual profits. I guess the taxman gave up going through the maze before reaching the offices at the store. The Berne Declaration, a non-profit watch dog organization in Switzerland has Ikea in their doghouse for showing lack of leadership by practicing such ruthless strategies in avoidance of paying more tax.
