Where Does the Internet Come From?

There is a very good chance the information you are viewing has run through the ocean and will travel within seconds to the other side of it with ease. Most of the information highway runs through the oceans. The cutting technology is running the same paths that the telegraph has for over 100 years. There you thought the satellites spinning around the globe were transmitting the internet via new technology including cellphones. The brunt of the job for the Internet runs the old fashion way, still under the water connecting the continents. New technology is always dependent on older ones. [link]
