Would it not be cool to create mash-up animals? Ever hear of the wooly ant? You can see these amazing creatures and other curiosities at The Faux Museum: Gallery & Store in Portland, Oregon. It’s too bad it is shutting down. The last day at the Faux Museum will be Jan. 11, 2015. It was nice knowing you Wooly ant.
Faux Museum curator Tom Richards describes as “a cross between The Natural History Museum in New York, a Flaming Lips show and that one really, really, really odd dream you had that one time.”
The Faux Museum: Gallery & Store is the world’s oldest museum and home to the only remaining woolly ant. The museum also has a great black & white photo-booth and an interesting museum store.
