Ikea setup shop in China in 1999 and is a marvel to shoppers who want to emulate North American lifestyle. Some have turned the store into an outing of sorts. Some lounge around for up to five hours, feasting on cheap hot-dogs and resting their bellies on couches and lying on beds like it were their homes. Ikea management are accustomed to the strange behavior and let residents hang around and snap pictures of families sitting on furniture that they will never purchase. It’s more of a curiosity for many who cannot afford such luxuries. It’s as near as some will come to the American dream. Some will dream for hours as they sleep on Ikea furniture. Try to do this in North America. The only thing we would get free would be flying lessons.
