The Great Flu Game is designed by crafty Albert Osterhaus, head of Virology at the Erasmus Medical Center. The game is promoted to “further awareness” by challenging players to control a new global pandemic. Parents against gaming will rate this game as in poor taste, but gaming is a forum where kids can educate themselves a bit about a very serious topic.
The game casts the player as the head of the fictional World Pandemic Control. Pick a strain of flu based on difficulty level, and use your budget to help stop the spread of a potentially deadly disease.
