Bicycle Spokes Revolution

Is this the beginning of a revolution? Bicycle spokes revolution that is. Montreal has the Bixi and Denver the B-cycle and both are leading the way by the European inspired bike green program. Boston, New York, Ottawa, and Seattle are in talks with Montreal program inventors who hope to incorporate the successful Bixi program in Montreal. The only knock in Montreal is the program has not incorporated helmets into the venture. They promise to work hard into improving that safety aspect. Beantown is gangbusters for the Bixi in downtown Boston. It’s funny that the two cities in North America to boldly venture into the green program both have harsh winters and very short summers. You would figure that this type of program would work wonders in warmer cities in North America. I am tempted to try one out and bring a pack of baseball cards and some wooden clothespins and give it a different spin and take it old school.
