Limited-Edition Snoopy Watch Has Landed From BALL Watch Company

Some collaborations feel forced. This is not one of them. The beagle has landed!

I have to admit, the Engineer Master II Snoopy Flying Ace from BALL Watch Company is a true work of art. As someone who already enjoys Snoopy on my iPhone with interactive animated backdrops, I laughed when my daughter suggested I should go analog. Looking at this watch, I can see exactly what she meant.

This partnership feels completely natural. Snoopy has always represented the power of imagination. His doghouse becomes a fighter plane. Ordinary moments become grand adventures. BALL Watch Company shares that same spirit. Founded in Cleveland in 1891 and forged through the challenges of America’s growing railroad system, BALL built its reputation by challenging expectations and redefining precision timekeeping when reliability mattered most.

Together, these two American icons celebrate resilience, optimism, innovation, and craftsmanship.

Created by Charles M. Schulz in 1950, Peanuts has endured for generations because it understands something fundamental about life. Failure happens. Dreams matter. Optimism is a choice. Snoopy embodies all of it. Whether he is a novelist, astronaut, or the legendary World War I Flying Ace, he reminds us that imagination can carry us anywhere.

As the World War I Flying Ace, Snoopy is once again ready to take to the skies in pursuit of that blasted Red Baron. With precise timing and unwavering determination, this BALL watch feels like the perfect companion for his imaginary dogfights above the clouds. Of course, every ace pilot knows when it is time to land for supper before heading back into the blue yonder for another adventure. After all, for Snoopy, the mission never truly ends.

BALL’s first Peanuts collaboration captures that spirit beautifully.

The Engineer Master II Snoopy Flying Ace places the famous beagle front and center. At the 9 o’clock sub-dial, Snoopy pilots his doghouse-turned-Sopwith Camel biplane in full Flying Ace regalia, complete with helmet, goggles, and scarf. Even better, Woodstock serves as the tip of the running seconds hand, adding a playful touch that never distracts from the watch’s impressive functionality.

Like all great BALL timepieces, this watch is built for performance. Fourteen micro gas tubes illuminate the dial continuously without requiring any charging. Baton-shaped tubes mark each hour while thinner tubes light the hands, creating remarkable visibility in complete darkness. The result is both practical and visually stunning.

Inside beats the manual-winding BALL RR2102 movement. There is something wonderfully appropriate about a hand-wound movement powering a watch inspired by vintage aviation. Each turn of the oversized onion crown creates a tangible connection between wearer and machine, much like the mechanical timepieces worn by pilots during the early days of flight.

The 46mm stainless steel case makes a bold statement, yet its relatively slim 12.35mm profile and supple riveted calf leather strap keep it surprisingly comfortable on the wrist. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement while showcasing a silkscreen image of Snoopy in his Flying Ace attire, a delightful detail collectors will appreciate.

Then there is Joe Cool, the other side of Snoopy’s personality. Calm, confident, and effortlessly cool, he stands patiently waiting for his next adventure with Charlie Brown and the gang. Maybe it is a trip to the baseball field with a glove in hand. Maybe it is another day lounging atop the doghouse. Whatever the occasion, Snoopy always seems to arrive at exactly the right moment. Timing, after all, has always been one of his greatest strengths.

What makes this release especially appealing is its exclusivity. Limited to just 410 pieces, the production number commemorates Snoopy’s first appearance in the Peanuts comic strip on October 4, 1950. It is a fitting tribute that blends comic-strip history with BALL’s tradition of precision engineering.

The Engineer Master II Snoopy Flying Ace is more than a novelty watch. It is a celebration of imagination, craftsmanship, and the enduring appeal of two beloved American institutions. It proves that you can be serious about watchmaking while still having fun.

And thanks to Snoopy, you’ll always be fashionably early.
