Just amazing! Amazing Fantasy #15 has just dethroned Superman's first appearance in Action Comics #1 as the most valuable comic. The 9.6 mint condition comic book just sold for 3.6 million at Heritage Auctions. Well, that is another record that DC Comics lost out to Marvel Comics. There are two ways of looking at this. Either the market is reflecting the true nature of the market or somebody got ripped.

Jack Kirby left Marvel Comics in 1970 due to creative differences with Stan Lee to create his greatest work for DC Comics which would later be called, The Fourth World. His Fourth World books were a failure in the early 70s. The Fourth World characters lingered in the DC universe for 50 years and play significant roles in shaping continuity. From 1970 till 1973, the New Gods books desperately tried to gain a following with poor sales.

James Gunn’s supervillain team-up movie The Suicide Squad is a complete reboot from the 2016 version. The R-rated Gunn movie is set to hit theaters and HBO Max on Aug. 6. Most of the characters are completely new to this version of the film, though Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn, as well as Jai Courtney as Boomerang from the 2016 version of the film. DC fans will rejoice at the first film introduction of kaiju. (Starro!) This is a full Gunn blazing adventure like you never seen before.
Jeffrey Brown is at again. He is tackling DC's biggest franchise. Batman! Brown is known for the popular Jedi Academy books, the Darth Vader and Son series, and his self created Lucy and Andy Neanderthal and new Space-Time! books. The citizens of Gotham are not safe with Brown's unique subtle sense of humor.
The Doom Patrol dubbed "World's Strangest Heroes" is enjoying success on the small screen. There are great parallels between the X-Men and the Doom Patrol. DC’s heroes debuted a full three months prior to X-Men #1 in 1963. Both their leaders in wheelchairs lead a band of misfits. History was kinder to the X-Men as they exploded in popularity in the late 70s
July promises to be hotter this year with the release of Fourth World Omnibus by John Byrne by DC Comics. The giant omnibus collects all the Fourth stories by fan favourite writer/artist John Byrne. True to the Jack Kirby creation, this series is sure to entertain.
