Coding for the Color Blind

Imagine being color blind in a world of color where sometimes color plays a major role in signage. The world of medicine and transportation are not friendly to the needs of color blind people. It could be life or death depending on the label on a package or a sign warning you of danger. Miguel Neiva created a color coding system to help daily life for a small population of males who suffer from color blindness known as Daltonism. The basic icons can be universally used from clothing to other daily needs where color might hinder a visually challenged individual who cannot see color. What is a standard for us is a hardship for a minority who find it frustrating living in a world of color. Some countries don’t even issue permits to drive vehicles for color blind people, it can be daunting for some individuals.
