Dandy the New York Yankees Mascot

The New York Yankees as an organization seem to do everything right. There is a mind-wipe of sorts when it comes to Dandy. Dandy was their mascot from 1979 to 1981 when the mascot popularity was at an all-time high. Designed by Wayde Harrison and his wife Bonnie Erickson are also creators of Miss Piggy and the Phillie Phanatic. Dandy was the worst mascot to come into baseball. The first thought that comes to mind is maybe Dandy was created by George Costanza. Youppi another creation by Wayde Harrison is in the opposite spectrum, he is perhaps the only mascot traded to another sport for one million dollars and enjoys a popularity with the youth of Montreal. Youppi is notoriously known for being the only mascot thrown out of a baseball game by an umpire, as requested by Tommy Lasorda.
