Fun Fact:
While “Action Comics” is the first DC title to reach issue No. 1,000, it is not the publisher’s longest-running title. “Detective Comics” debuted in 1937, beating “Action” by a year. Batman debuted in 1939, giving “Detective” a star that would carry it to the present.
