Many R&D departments are busy developing new prototypes for new magazine layouts for tablets. We are just on the cusp of new technology and some not so new pushing through and driving away a paper dependent industry for new original content. The magazine as you know it will never be the same. Forget monthly,weekly, or even daily editions. Try updates within seconds at command. Gossip magazines are going to get even more interesting. The new magazine will be a portable multimedia device that just has no boundaries. New revenues streams will open for the new magazine format. The Mag+ project is a glimpse into 2010 and the future of paper publishing will change in 2010.
