You better watch out

Check out the first official trailer for the upcoming Christmas-themed action-heavy comedy “Violent Night,” featuring an ass-kicking Santa Claus, played here by David Harbour, from “Stranger Things” and “Black Widow.”

The film, which also stars John Leguizamo as the leader of a heavily-armed mercenary team, centers on a young girl and her wealthy parents who are taken hostage in their home. The thing is, it’s Christmas Eve. And Santa Claus (Harbour) is here to kill bad guys to save the day — much like John McClane in Die Hard.

Produced by “Bullet Train” and “John Wick” action helmer David Leitch, the darkly comic action film is directed by Norwegian-born filmmaker Tommy Wirkola, who previously helmed the cult genre-bending films “Dead Snow 1 & 2,” “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters,” and “What Happened to Monday.”
