1975 was the peak year for Black Sabbath. Five years in and another four till Ozzy derailed. Sabotage was a strange album with some classic hits but at the same time, the band was going musically in different directions. They were starting to lose their identity. Personally, riff wise I love this album. My favorite song is Symptom of the Universe. It has so many guitar sounds that explore different experimental tunes.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned if your name is Jocelyn Susan Bundy. She is suing Nirvana LLC, Live Nation Merchandise LLC and its Merch Traffic LLC unit, along with Silva Artist Management LLC, saying NIRVANA had been using her grandfather C.W. Scott-Giles drawing since 1997 on shirts, mugs, vinyl records, and other merchandise sold at stores including Walmart, H&M and Hot Topic.

2001: A Space Odyssey changed cinema and art in 1968. Jim Morrison and the Doors were present at the world premiere in Los Angeles. Both Ray Manzarek and Jim Morrison graduated as film students from UCLA. This was a big cinematic experience for them.

AC/DC proved that old men rock better. Power Up their latest record is proving to best their best work in a very long time. There has been a recent resurgence of old rockers releasing decent music. Deep Purple and their contemporaries have also unleashed amazing work. Is there something in the water lately that is augmenting their musical output? To celebrate the Record Store Day on June 12, AC/DC announced special products from their latest album. AC/DC is releasing a limited 12" picture disc Through The Mists Of Time/Witch's Spell housed in a PVC jacket with an OBI strip at the top.
“Inspirations” was recorded at Brockfield Hall near York in the UK, which was built in 1804 and holds the largest collection of paintings by Yorkshire’s impressionist artists – the Staithes Group. For Byford, recording Inspirations all together within such a rich historical environment was a major ingredient of the project. “The warmth and feel of Inspirations had so much to do with being together in this magnificent place and doing it ‘old-school’ style”, Byford explains. “This is how many bands back in the day -including some of the ones covered here - made such great albums, so it just felt really good to be able to do this somewhere like Brockfield Hall”. The results speak for themselves.
The Many Faces of series is perhaps one of my favorite various artists series based on popular groups. The series concentrates on the music of featured artists with different interpretations of their music and other artists who cover their songs. The Beach Boys are getting the royal treatment with The Many Faces of The Beach Boys.
