The irony of whale fishing is examined by the animated music video directed by the late Heath Ledger for the group Modest Mouse. All the proceeds from the sales of iTunes downloads for the first month will go to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. The music video examines a world where whales fish for humans, if your name is Ismael you might end up on a whale net. The video is rather graphic but with a point about our brutality and futility for whale hunting. The slaughter makes one wonder about the practice that has no place in our humane society today.
