Robert E. Lee Day is a state holiday in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Virginia and Mississippi celebrated along Martin Luther King Day. Go figure. Time has a way of sanitizing history. Ask the Duke boys. Anyhoo, happy Robert E. Lee Day! Sounds awkward. Orwellian purists would be proud in the irony.
