Quentin Tarantino’s book ‘Cinema Speculation’ is to land on Oct. 25

    Quentin Tarantino’s next book is a nonfiction dispatch from a lifelong movie fanatic. “Cinema Speculation,” to be published Oct. 25, will center on “The Getaway” and other films from the 1970s that influenced him during childhood. The book, announced Friday by Harper, comes a year after the best-selling novelization of his movie “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

            The Oscar-winning director has a two-book deal with Harper, beginning with a novelization of “Once Upon a Time … In Hollywood” that is scheduled for this summer. “Once Upon a Time” will be a true Tarantino production: The book will come out first as a mass-market paperback, like the old pulp novels the filmmaker loves and will offer “a fresh, playful and shocking departure from the film,” according to Harper.
